A community of women supporting each other with What Comes Next.

THE GOAL: support female survivors of domestic abuse get access to therapy and running.

For women rebuilding identity after abuse

A bit about me

I'm Jess, and I started What Comes Next because I started noticing a gap in support. There’s crisis support available for women during the critical period of leaving abuse, but navigating the months and years following that crisis requires support too.

For me, the aftermath left me completely lost. I didn't recognise myself and had no idea where to begin rebuilding my confidence.

A few years ago, I got WHAT COMES NEXT tattooed on my arm as a visual reminder of hope and I want other women to feel that same confidence in their futures.

What are we here to do?

Right Now

Sharing stories, creating resources

We're gathering stories from women who've rebuilt their identity and confidence after domestic abuse. We're creating practical guidance for friends, family, and partners on how to truly help - what to say, what not to say, and how to support without fixing.

What’s Coming

Funding fresh starts, removing barriers

We're working toward providing women with the tangible tools they need for their next chapter - whether that's a pair of running shoes, access to therapy, a place on a writing course, or whatever helps them rediscover who they are. Every woman should have the resources to decide what comes next.

Get Involved

Your story matters: We want to hear from women who've survived domestic abuse and found their way forward - whether you rediscovered a love of watercolours, launched a business, or found yourself through something entirely different.

Become a partner: We're looking for organisations to help create pathways for women rebuilding their lives - race organisers who can donate places, online therapy, course providers, business mentors, creative studios. If you can help open doors, we want to work with you.
